Terms and Conditions for Academy Apartments

By Submitting a booking on this website or by phone you agree to the following Academy Apartment Terms and Conditions of Booking: 
Please be advised that the Terms & Conditions are being updated in September 2022, if your booking is after this date we will advise you of the new Terms & Conditions when they are released.

Payment Policy 

Bookings must be secured with Visa or MasterCard at the time of booking, which we will debit 7 days prior to your stay. Unless we have agreed to alternative arrangements prior to your stay. 
A 2% Surcharge will apply to all Visa, MasterCard and AMEX payments. 

Cancelation Policy 

To cancel your booking, you must contact our Apartment Manager by emailing info@academyapartments.co.nz or by calling +64 27 506 8049
If cancellation occurs, the following charges will be made against your Credit Card Within 7 days of the first night of stay - 100% of the total booking charge. 
Cancellation prior to 7 days before the first night of stay incurs on Charge. Guests will incur Charges should there be any damaged or missing items in the accommodation units. 

Arrival and Departure Times

Check-in time is 2.30 pm. Check-out is 10.00 am. You will receive Check In detail at least 2 days prior to your arrival. There is no Reception Desk onsite, so any requests need to be made prior to your arrival. 

General Terms & Conditions  

If you have extra people than what you booked staying in your Apartment, there will be an extra $50.00 per person per night. This includes extra Linen, cleaning and amenities supplied. 
Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when staying at Academy Apartments. By submitting a booking on the website, you warrant that at least one of the guests who will be staying is over the age of 18.  
If you leave anything behind in your room, we can courier this to you and will pass on the Courier fee plus a $10.00 handling fee. 
No Pets are allowed to stay at Academy Apartments. 
Academy Apartments is Smoke-Free. This includes all inside and outside areas including the foyer and lift spaces. No Vaping or Smoking is allowed in the rooms. Should you or your guests smoke or vape in a room a cleaning fee shall apply at the rate of $750 regardless of the apartment type.  You will be responsible for all costs, damage and liabilities arising as a result of smoking/ or any smoke detectors being activated by you, including a fine of NZD$500 for tampering with the smoke detectors in any way. 
No illegal drugs or associated paraphernalia are allowed to be brought onto the Apartments premises. Academy Apartments recognizes the privacy concerns of it customers, clients, guests, contacts and the users of its website. We store your details in our Property Management System as a profile. Which in the future can be used for any other bookings which will already have your preferences mentioned so we can cater to all your needs. 
These terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws in force in New Zealand. You irrevocably submit to and accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
